Utilization of Web in the Russian-English Phrase Translation

Abstract
Correct translation is the core of the learning process of a foreign language. During translation foreign language learners experience situations when they need to translate set phrase, proper nouns, new technical terms that are not listed in standard bilingual dictionaries. To hep them in such situations we constucted a system of Web-facilitated phrase translation. Experiments clearly demonstrated that our method was more precise than some famous translation systems. Our system can help foreign language learners to find precise translations, and can demonstrate them how Web can be used in translation when bilingual dictionaries can not help.
