Abstract

Each student has different characteristics and circumstances so it is necessary to provide the most creative and efficient way of learning for individual students from various perspectives such as their interests and their levels of understanding in order to effectively bring out their “will”. However, students’ interests and levels of understanding, etc. have internal aspects and it is extremely difficult to regard them objectively and definitively. Therefore, it needs to visualize the learning characteristics of students based on their learning data and to develop a system that supports teachers and students in realizing individually-optimized learning. We focused on the function of visualizing the learning characteristics of students based on their learning data, and proposed a strategy to help the analysis of the characteristics of students and teachers' instructional choices using a heat map.
