Abstract
Collaborative learning is an effective instructional strategy to enhance learning through reflection, collegial interactions and a greater sense of empowerment. This research paper seeks to explore the key factors that would motivate students in Singapore’s higher education to be engaged in collaborative online learning so as to achieve good learning outcomes. It would ascertain student perception of collaborative learning and the motivational factors needed to engage them in deep learning in an online environment.
