Abstract
Within the context of a pre-service teacher education program, two innovative curricular applications in which supplementary materials have been introduced as learning objects into a comprehensive health education hybrid course are explored. The introduction of a "Photo Gallery" as well as a "Reference Library" serve as examples of delivering instruction in creative ways that align with outcome-based educational objectives and content concepts. Delivered as part of a hybrid course the inclusion of these supplemental materials maximized the face-to-face in-class instructional time as well as the out-of-class credit hours.
