Abstract

To help with the challenges many middle school students experience when learning how to use new tools in the classroom, we provided a technology training session during our summer academy for middle school students. The annual summer academy focused on helping students learning graphing skill by offering technology training sessions using two innovative tools, TI-Nspire and InspireData. The poster will show how the tools were presented to our group of middle school students. The technology training sessions are one of many techniques using technology for teaching the participants during the week long summer program. The products showcased in the poster can be used to help middle school students learn how to apply data analysis and graphing skills. As a result of this experience the participants were more proficient at using technologies as tools to prepare them for the next generation of learning.
