Abstract

The objective of this pilot study was to explore the benefits and limitations of iPads in online courses. Additionally, the study examined how the innovative use of iPads and relevant applications, incorporated to enrich graduate candidates’ learning experience, and facilitated the transfer of learned techniques and skills to the K-12 setting. The goal of this research was not the teaching of technology, but rather exploring and demonstrating useful ways of using technology to address issues in teaching and counseling. The types of technologies explored have the potential to enhance teacher preparation program’s ability to prepare candidates to meet the needs of students in a diverse population.
