Abstract

This workshop will teach participants how to the Web 2.0 tools of Animoto, Jing, and VoiceThread to create different types of digital videos for different purposes. Participants will be provided with ideas of ways to incorporate videos and digital stories into their curriculum at any grade level. We will discuss how these tools can improve the learning of students in one or more areas of critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. The workshop will directly support 21st Century Skills. The instruction in this workshop will show how to enhance a traditional and online classroom by providing resources for teachers to capture their instruction, show off student work, and enhance instruction through visual media. Products made in the tutorial will allow the participant to be able to post them on a class webpage, blog, or e-college site.
