Abstract

The use of mobile phones has changed the way students communicate, learn, and behave in everyday life. Mobile technology creates an environment where users can implement technological resources anytime and anywhere. In order to take advantages of mobile phones and their ubiquity features, this research plans on implementing mobile learning tools, such as text messaging, in administrating gross anatomy exams while assessing students’ learning performance. This research study seeks to investigate the impact of adopting text messaging as it relates to traditional paper based exams. In addition, students’ perception, attitudes, and factors that influence the integration of text messaging in a graduate gross anatomy class will be evaluated.
