Abstract
The use of computers and the Internet is becoming ubiquitous in classroom teaching. Among the wealth of information sources available, one can find many award winning virtual exhibits on museum Web sites. These, with many other museum sites, are intended for use as resources for classroom learning. One question that arises is which criteria teachers use in selection of these sites for classroom use. This paper reports on a study of teachers’ and pre-service teachers’ selection criteria for evaluating science museum Web sites to support their classroom teaching.
