Abstract
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine to what extent teacher candidates (a) increase their confidence levels in relation to technology use (b) improve their technology skills and, (c) integrate technology into a selected curriculum during a technology training course designed to prepare teacher candidates to use technologies that support their teaching and student learning. Survey data, narrative analysis, and product assessment (Gall, Borg & Gall, 2006, Riessman, 1994) will be applied to gain an understanding of teachers' experiences as they move through a web-enhanced course designed to prepare teacher candidates to integrate technology into the curriculum. Complementary data collection processes (Shulman, 1986) were used to provide depth and breadth towards identifying and analyzing barriers and processes affecting the impact of the training course on confidence, skill acquisition and integration. Recommendations from this study contribute to the future development of an effective model of teacher training in technology integration for teacher candidates
