Abstract

Increasing numbers of primary schools (K-6) are purchasing electronic or interactive whiteboards to support teaching and learning. The present educational climate in England promotes whole-class teaching within the primary classroom and places emphasis upon an interactive approach to teaching and learning. The focus of this study is to investigate how electronic whiteboards may be used effectively to enhance whole class mathematics lessons and, in so doing, further trainee teachers' confidence and competence in integrating this technology within their practice.
