Abstract
This article describes how one school of education is implementing technology into the curriculum of pre-service teachers. Based on research and experience faculty and technology assistants have designed a project-based activity to introduce educational technology to pre-service teachers. This activity is the first phase of a 4-step plan that shows students how to use productivity tools to create educational activities. Students use the Internet to research a current educational issue and then use Excel, PowerPoint and AppleWorks to put together a presentation that reports their research findings. Implementation information and completion statistics will be presented.
