Abstract

The aim of this demo is to present a mobile video recording application and demonstrate its potential to support learning that is related to physical practices or places and situations at work. This demonstration suggests that very short annotated video clips are a practical way to support informal workplace learning involving physical environment, if the video are quick to create and share. The learning during work is different to learning in educational contexts, e.g. by being informal, just in time and social. To recognize the richness of people, situations, environments and experiences affecting the learning, the design framework is from pragmatism philosophy. The presented application is an Android application ’Ach So!’. It allows creating, annotating and sharing short videos in pregiven genres to support using the clips for communicating and processing of moments and places of interests. We also explain future steps to take in developing further the application.
