Abstract
What is Technology Enhanced Instruction (TEI)? How can inservice TEI teacher training be provided at a distance? How can matters related to facilities and cost, teaching strategies, learning strategies, and outcomes be effectively communicated to teachers in the field? What broadcast preparation and support is needed? This paper describes how a video conference was used to provide inservice TEI training to educators in British Columbia (BC). The paper concludes with reflections on the viability of this mode of providing inservice training, and suggests guidelines for developing video conferences of this type.
