A Curatorial Approach to E-Learning Using QR-coding as Example

Abstract
Museums, libraries and other archives contain large repositories of artistic, textual and other cultural expressionsion. The items are recorded and represented in digital formats. The collections are essential inputs for constructionist approaches to learning, and particularly so when live lectures are replaced with online multimodal materials. Students are then asked to re-produce, re-create, re-purpose and otherwise develop materials as part of the learning process. This paper presents a case description on how Digital Curation may extend to the educational field for such purposes. It is based on experiental work with Quick Response coding as a curatorial tool. The work was conducted 2010-2011 between Chinese and Norwegian partners.
