Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design a new performing arts education by using ICT to strengthen students’ ability to communicate globally with each other. Performing arts education is now widely accepted and implemented in several schools and organizations to strengthen communication ability. Therefore, this paper studies the effect of performing arts education in promoted ICT. First, we investigate the effective factors, through related work. Second, we held a case study called “Theater education session between Japan and Thailand”. In this case, we featured a Japanese play which was adapted to Thai, and through the effective use of this subject, participants were provided with valuable opportunities, such as learning the cultural background, live broadcasting and interactive discussion. And, finally, by analyzing participants' behavior and evaluating session contents, this paper discusses how the ICT can help education in this area of education and a further study is suggested.
