Abstract

This research is the result the Erasmus+ EU Project EKT (Educational Knowledge Transfer) first pilot of an unique and innovative elearning platform envisaged to support in school placement within an initial teacher education (ITE) context. Technological partners of the EKT consortium, under consultation of five higher education institutions across Europe, have designed and piloted all the features of this newly elearning platform. The novelty that EKT have brought to the ITE context is the integration of several well-known capabilities into a single one platform, easing interaction between all the participants but also cooperation and reflection. First results confirm the utility of this unique approach and at the same time point out improvements to be made towards a second pilot iteration.
