Abstract

As inherent in any multidisciplinary field, in development of Virtual Learning Environments, many different perspectives have to be taken into account. Thus the particular issue of test generation and evaluation are complex and multifaceted. The developer teams and users of these environments consist of people from different disciplines, with different perceptions, and objectives in development and different expectations from the system. Firstly, requirements of End-Users i.e. pedagogues, domain experts, instructors and learners must be tackled. Secondly IT Specialists take care of development issues and finally Web Designers are responsible for usability issues. In this paper we propose a set of tools and methodologies for dynamic test generation, analyses of learners' interactions with these tests and finally visualization of the results for assessment purposes. Our modular approach with MVC design pattern provides clear task separation and control for each expert and user group.
