Abstract

This paper describes a particular aspect of an enterprise project linking four Universities in the North East of England with small and medium sized businesses in the region. The purpose of the project is to support knowledge transfer of academic research expertise for practical support of the digital media sector. The associated research project explores means of supporting accessible web services through the development of a tailored auditing process whose central concept is that an audit should be tailored to the context of the services offered and to the main target audience for the business or service. The project demonstrates the successful integration of enterprise and research activities in Higher Education.
