Abstract
Private and public sectors are being pressured to utilize new teaching platforms to increase and maximize training efficiency. ELearning has made huge gains in filling the void that exists between the needs of organizations and the available resources. Some variables that must be taken into account when considering the implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) are the number of users that will be using the new training platform as well as other factors like opportunity costs. The Chicago Police Department launched a Learning Management System in 2008 and delivered a department-wide training initiative of a course called AIRA (Automated Incident Reporting Application)
