Abstract
This paper describes a video clips generation system using network cameras to support observational learning in science classes. This system consists of a video clip server and network cameras connected to the network. The video clips are generated by encoding the picture images uploaded from network cameras. Users can play back those by accessing the web site on the video clip server. Since network cameras are robust and easy to set up, the proposed system will be able to apply to observational learning in various kinds of science classes. Furthermore, this paper describes the outline of classroom activities in the science classed in which the proposed system was introduced to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system.
