Abstract

Abstract: In this work, we present the results of an on-line, Research Methodology graduate course. The course was developed and delivered using the Moodle learning platform. We emphasized process rather than content. At the beginning of the course, we also applied an attitude survey. Participating students answered the COLLES survey (Constructivist On-Line Learning Environment Survey) each week. With the results of this study, we were able to detect positive changes in the attitude of the students and their perceptions related to this course. Most of the students considered that they learned more with on-line courses. Both, the students and professors indicated that they tend to work harder on-line. Women did better than men in this course. One of the most interesting results was the development of a group identity even though the students were face to face only on two occasions.
