Abstract
The research on mobile learning (m-learning) in the classroom is on the rise as teachers begin to increase the m-learning opportunities that they incorporate into their classroom lessons. As this field continues to grow within the classrooms, educators are urged to consider the special education populations in their design. It is critical for educators and stakeholders to know and understand the federal laws and policies and its application to m-learning technologies as it pertains to students with disabilities. This presentation seeks to review the current practices and potential uses of m-learning in special education learning environments. This presentation will also briefly review challenges with m-learning and provide potential recommendations and guidelines for utilizing mobile technologies in the future of special educational curriculum development.
