Abstract
Over the years the media and technology have transcended race, economics, and poverty to become a driving power all around the world. Our children are now growing up surrounded by all kinds of social media, and mobile technology that people use to communicate in their daily life. Even though media and technology are now powerful tools used in education in most developed countries, developing countries still are facing many challenges such as teachers’ limited experiences, no one common platform for students and teachers’ communication, slow internet speed and so on. The purpose of the study to examine access to technology and media in developing countries and to investigate how technology is used in developing countries as an educational tool. These research findings may help educational leaders identify the missing media and technology skills needed by students and teachers in developing countries, and the methods teachers might use to meet learners needs regarding technology.
