Abstract
The evolution of web browsers with multimedia capabilities that handle java scripting has enabled authors to move from a "click and look" environment to one in which the user can be involved through communication, interaction and reflective thinking. This environment provides an ideal format for inquiry-based science activities as promoted by the National Science Education Standards. This paper describes the NC State Science Junction website, which serves to promote the doing of science through student activities and resources for parents and science teachers.
