Abstract
Although assessment of student learning is a much-discussed topic, the assessment of student online discussions is a new phenomenon. With widespread availability of technologies on university campuses, online discussions are becoming an important part to student learning. This study reports our experiences in designing, implementing and investigating various assessment methods in online discussions
