Abstract
Abstract: This paper reports the design and development of an online tutorial program for the Mathematics test in the General Education Development (GED) Test. According to the Texas Education Agency, an estimated 15.4 million adults world wide have taken and passed the GED tests since 1949. Despite the fact that the test has gone through several revisions and is now administered on computers, majority of the preparation materials are still limited to paper based textbooks. Given that there are currently no similar computer based programs to help prepare for the Mathematics test, this paper will first discuss the significance of this program. Also, there will be a discussion on the theoretical frameworks that guide the design and how this program substantializes the theories into practice in the computer based environment.
