Abstract

Math and science teachers frequently search for demonstrations and hands-on activities to motivate their students. Our NSF GK-12 program offers an Internet-based nationwide service to science and math teachers by providing them with quality demonstrations and activities. In this presentation, we explain the process whereby we create and expand our Web-based library of learning resources (http://peer.tamu.edu/DLC/NSF_Resources.asp). All materials in the library are searchable by subject, content category (lesson plans, computer activities, teaching content, self-directed), and by grade. These materials are aimed at grades 6-8, but many materials can be adapted to higher or lower grades.
