Abstract

This paper describes the usefulness of a question board system to support legal education. The situation in which such a system is needed is the role-playing of civil litigations that the authors have been conducting in law faculties. While this class is effective in cultivating students' lawyering skills, the problem is that it requires a great deal of effort from the teaching staff. We developed a new system in response to requests from the staff for (1) easier citing of submissions, (2) easier scoring, and (3) automatic detection of frequent errors by artificial intelligence. We evaluated the adequacy of the system by interviewing the staff. As a result, it was suggested that the proposed system is valid for solving the problems in classroom instruction.
