Abstract

Our video festival session will present the results of a three-year effort to infuse technology into university-based teacher education. One of the major features of this endeavor has been revised teacher education curriculum and pedagogy, especially original and repurposed video case content. Technology-enhanced/video approaches are creating powerful learning communities that will enable teacher educators and schools to provide unprecedented levels of guidance and support to future teachers. Specifically, we will show participants video lessons and cases and our web environment directly. Participants will learn the power of these approaches firsthand. They will also learn about the challenges of such approaches and receive resources that they can apply to their settings.
