Abstract
Explore the design and development of collaborative activities that engage students in composing multimodal texts. Through a well-crafted instructional design in a graduate program's learning management system, students collaborate to utilize a variety of digital tools to engage in an inquiry based writing process that yields multimodal texts. While examples are centered on writing and teacher preparation, the processes demonstrated in this session are applicable to any content area. This best-practice session will share strategies, lessons learned, and student products.
