Abstract

A significant increase in courses and programs taught through distance education technologies has occurred in non-for-profit and for-profit colleges and universities. Research suggests that the success and/or failure occurs due to program planner(s) not understanding how to translate design, implement, evaluate distance learning courses and programs from a F2F contexts to the numerous technology learning platforms available today. This best practices presentation will introduce the steps to creating a virtual presentation to move your online course, training and e-messages from basic discussion boards to interactive discussions. The presentation will take you through the steps of preproduction, production and post-production practices to designing e-presentations. Audiences will be equipped to produce engaging e- presentations. The presentation will review the resources, tools, tips and materials to understanding the learning platforms and tools on the market.
