Abstract

This study sought to define the AR-based learning system architecture through enhanced reality and absorption as applicable in school and to examine the perception on the usability of the AR-based learning system. To examine the perception on the usability of the AR-based learning system, 57 5th graders in a science class and 29 4th graders in an English class in Korea were considered as subjects. The result of the usability perception in the science class revealed strong positive average ratings for "Accuracy," "Efficiency," and "Control." Lower scores were obtained for "Affect" and "Learnability." On the other hand, in the English class, the result of examining the overall usability perception revealed positive response to the AR-based learning system for "Control," "Affect," "Efficiency," "Accuracy," and "Learnability."
