Abstract
Tablets are the latest entries in a long list of tools introduced to classrooms around the world, with the hope of shifting technology’s role from a delivery-tool to an enabler that enriches the learning experience. The current paper summarizes work in progress that aimed at capturing lessons learned from a large-scale initiative in the UAE, particularly from the perspectives of administrators and support individuals, whose efforts enable such projects to become a reality. The paper discusses the background and rationale for the research, presents a relevant literature review while describing the research design, data collection and data analysis procedures. Finally, the paper provides an overview of the general findings from the preliminary analysis phase.
