Abstract
This preliminary report presents an early analysis of data related to an ongoing action research study being conducted by the researchers examining one school’s effort to develop and facilitate the use of digital Open Educational Resources (OER) in a K-12 standards-based 1:1 iPad learning environment. A brief overview of the need for technology training and OER use in K-12 education is provided. The researchers describe a model that can be used when working with digital content that evolved as the district’s program matured. This brief paper presents early results of the district’s content development efforts as well as survey data indicating some of the early training successes experienced. It is hoped this process can be of value to educators pursuing similar goals.
