Abstract

To understand Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) based on an ethical view and a relational view, this paper presents how the caring construct is similar with and different from the previous constructs such as the social interdependent construct in explaining CSCL. As well, this paper offers the criteria for using the caring construct to explain a CSCL course at the graduate level. With these criteria, both instructors and students in a CSCL course at the graduate level could experience effective and satisfactory learning within the caring relationships.
