Abstract

This study will focus on investigating benefits of electronic performance support system (EPSS) in computer-based software training to facilitate learning. A computer-based software training program with embedded EPSS for Microsoft Excel is developed for the study. Pretest-posttest control group design will be applied to measure effectiveness of EPSS. Qualitative data collection will be conducted through interviews and questionnaires to investigate learners' experiences and perceptional effects of EPSS. The results will provide theoretical and practical implications for improvement of computer-based software training. Moreover, perceptional effectiveness of EPSS will contribute important considerations on developing software training program and relative importance in different EPSS components.
