Abstract

Universities have migrated to many on-line formats in recent years. As a result the loss of face-to face contact has created a more impersonal. This study focuses on the use of YouTube as an added interaction tool with course candidates. The YouTube platform is used to script and provide detailed introductions to module assignments. These video presentations are arranged in a ADA compliant format using the platform’s capabilities to include closed captioning. The platform is also used to send weekly messages to candidates that summarize previous week’s activities and introduce the succeeding week’s module.
