Abstract
What concerns do preservice teacher educations (PTE) students have relating to impacts technology has on their responsibilities to incorporate technology into their classroom? To address this issue, PTE students were surveyed on their technology concerns and the results are presented in relation to curriculum and program development. This inquiry project assessed the levels of technology integration and concerns of pre-service teacher education students during the introductory phase of their program, identified curricular concerns/needs related to technology integration, and designed a technology infusion matrix (Innovation Configuration) for the preservice teacher preparation curriculum based on NCATE, ISTE, INTASC, and COE standards to guide the infusion of appropriate technologies into the teacher preparation curriculum and provide effective, appropriate, and innovative examples, activities, and projects to incorporate into the preservice curriculum.
