Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new model of education poverty alleviation based on Deyan cloud video platform. Through remote video interactive technology, a teacher can not only teach students in a local center classroom but also give his/her lesson to other students of remote classrooms coming from different locations based on the cloud video platform, so that a point-to-point helping mechanism between high-level central downtown school and low-level rural school can be established fundamentally over the cloud platform. As a case study, the proposed cloud platform and its systems have be implemented and tested successfully in Taijiang county, Guizhou province, and the functions of the system model are highly evaluated by the local education authorities, teachers and students.
