Abstract

The University of Port Elizabeth is one of two universities in South Africa to offer a two-year, part-time, Further Diploma in Education in Educational Computing. The diploma program was initiated in January 1993 with a multi-cultural group of 40 in-service teachers. For the purpose of this diploma, the term “educational computing”, is used as an all-inclusive and neutral concept, incorporating all the modes of computer use in schools. Background
