In this paper we present an ICT program designed for pre-service teachers that used Web 2.0 technologies to develop digital skills in order to integrate the technologies in curriculum. Recent research shows that teachers´ familiarity, confidence and skills in integrating technology into the curriculum are dependent on the type of education programs attended. In fact, novice teachers need to be prepared to use the technology in creative activities that require higher-order skills such as knowing and understanding what it means to live in a digitalized and networked society where information is shared and knowledge collaboratively constructed. Aware of this context and responsible for preparing digitally wise teachers we implemented an ICT program with pre-service teachers using Web 2.0 tools - blogs, podcasts and Google Sites. In this article we describe and evaluate the ICT program, reflect on the results and discuss guidelines for future research.
