Abstract
Creating a dynamic, individualized environment for language learning in the classroom is one of a teacher's main concerns. This poster/demonstration focuses on a small, but important aspect: the development of an effective tool for managing individual differences in grammar learning in the classroom. Power Point units with sound have been developed so that students can focus on their specific needs, moving along at their own speed. These units cover beginner, intermediate, and advanced language levels. The visually appealing presentations not only present increasingly challenging grammatical notions, but also provide examples and short exercises for practice and self-assessment. Immediate feedback is provided at the click of an arrow. Wide accessibility is also an advantage; students can access the units at university or at home via Web CT. Finally, meaningful communication time is increased: teachers can respond to individualized grammar-related questions, and dedicate more class time to other language-related activities.
