Abstract

This paper identifies and discusses some of the main challenges of governance modeling in the context of eLearning analytics. It discusses the dimensions of governance in eLearning analytics in light of the existing governance models and argues that there is no one model fits-all for eLearning analytics governance. It proposes that there are three fundamental common challenges that cut across any eLearning analytics governance model, viz., the ownership of the eLearning analytics data sets, its interpretation and the enacting of decision-making on the basis of this eLearning analytics data.
