Abstract
The goal of our 3-year PT3 project is to prepare technologically proficient teachers for Metropolitan Atlanta's many diverse classrooms with training, support systems, and environmental change. In order to achieve this goal, a Teacher Electronic Performance Support System (TEPSS) will be developed to expand technology integration support for pre-service teachers throughout their critical student teaching and induction phases. One integral component of the TEPSS model, a video reflection tool, will be strategically embedded in our system. The video reflection tool is meant to serve as a channel to help pre-service teachers to reflect both on their own, and on their peers' classroom teaching. The purpose of this presentation is to: a) Provide rationale for the design of the video reflection tool; b) propose a design model for the video reflection tool; and c) open discussion on the usefulness and feasibility of such a tool. We will also discuss how we plan to continue with the project.
