Abstract
This century will see the increase in popularity of distance learning programs because of the added opportunity they provide to people to further their education. As such, it behooves colleges and universities to establish a distance learning policy so that educational standards can be maintained. A prototype distance learning policy is presented to serve as a guideline for the generic issues that need to be addressed by each institution in this regard.
