Abstract
World Health Organization data and Geospatial information can be organized into interactive maps; an excellent project-based application for STEM. By using web-based databases and even images, students can depict information that tells the stories and provides the visual narrative for students to interpret catastrophes and natural events . Imagine taking content like finding the highest magnitude earthquakes along the Ring of Fire and creating an interactive map that shows details like magnitude, aftermath images and other information students have researched. Currently, students can go to USGS to look at magnitude data and search for images; but with Fusion Tables, students can add and adjust data to personalize the research.
