Abstract
Abstract: Historically, teacher education programs have instructed preservice teachers in the use of technology as part of an educational media course that focused more on production of materials than on use with students. As computer technology became an important part of preservice teacher instruction, various methods of delivering technology training for preservice teachers evolved. Some of the means of delivery include: 1) offered as a single, stand-alone course; 2) taught across the curriculum in non-technology-focused teacher preparation classes; 3) taught both in stand-alone course(s) and within other teacher preparation classes; 4) incorporated in field experiences and student teaching/internship; and, 5) delivered in still other ways.
