Abstract
Teacher candidates gain most of their teaching experiences at teaching practice course which is the most critical part of their teacher education programs. During these experiences, students can face different emotional circumstances. To compete with the situations reasoning these changes, they can develop and follow different strategies. In this study, it is aimed to examine the development of teacher identity of teacher candidates and their career decision-making during their teaching practice while developing the strategies to overcome their emotional changes as a future teacher. For this study, the participants teacher candidates were completed their teaching practice who were selected by using purposeful sampling strategy. During a semester, participants were followed and observed to analyze changes on their teacher identity while using competing strategies and their career decision-making. At the end of the semester, their perceptions and opinions were collected with an interview.
