Abstract
Technology continues to grow in today's society and its influence on individuals is staggering. Research in this area appears to have focused primarily on the use of technology to enhance education and productivity. Little research has focused on how technology is changing other aspects of the environment for individuals. As the edcuational and work environments adopt technology the questions is, How has the technology changed the nature of the work and pre-requisite knowledge and skills required for successful completion of a occupation? This issues will be discussed in detail and guidelines will be provide to help address this issue in the educational environment.
